The Camden County Sheriff’s Office is urging the use of common sense in crime prevention. Recently they’ve responded to several calls of vehicle break-ins and stolen ATVs. Many of the cars were left unlocked and there were often keys left in the ATVs. Lt. Arlyne Page says to take the extra steps – if a criminal wants to steal, they will, but we should make them work a little harder.
The ATV thefts are also being reported in parts of Miller County. Page says the calls on vehicle break-ins has slowed down, though, thanks in part to simply getting the word out.
