The Camden County Commission are announcing the recipients of the first round of cares act funds.

Officials say they have awarded more than $25,000 to two municipalities and the Camden County Library District.

The money will go to cover additional PPE equipment, infrastructure improvements and to cover the cost of equipment needed to handle the Coronavirus.

The County says the are still accepting applications for the funds and are working with the Camdenton Chamber of Commerce to develop an easier application process for area businesses.

The funds must be distributed by December 31st of this year.
