The Camden County Commission is clarifying some confusion over their recently-adopted animal control ordinances. It was originally reported that all dogs over nine months old would have to have a micro chip with the owner’s address and up-to-date vaccination information. Commissioner Don Williams says collars with dog tags are also an acceptable option.
Williams also says the final version of the ordinance that passed does not include cats in either the micro-chip or collar provisions. The entire ordinance is available online and anyone with questions can contact the commission directly.
