State Auditor Nicole Galloway has released the report of an audit conducted on operations and finances of Camden County.
It’s the first comprehensive audit of the county conducted since 1994. The county received a “fair” rating, indicating that several areas need improvements. Commissioner Don Williams says that along with the negatives included in the report, there also a huge positive finding.
Despite speculation to the contrary, the county was not found to be missing any money during the audit, which began in January of 2018. Most of the areas that need improvement are already being addressed. You can view the entire report as well as brief summary at the links on our website.
