The Camden County Sheriff’s Office is turning to the public for information about who is responsible for a sequence of, apparent, arson fires. Over the past couple days, personnel from the Mid-County, Northwest and Southwest fire districts responded to, at least, two barn fires while also dealing with contents within several mailboxes also being lit on fire. Lieutenant Arlyne Page says the preliminary investigation points to the culprit, or culprits, specifically targeting the hay crops in the barns.
Lieutenant Page also says information about the fires can be reported anonymously to the sheriff’s department or local law enforcement.
The apparent arson fires happened at locations along Jeffries, Snelling and Franklin Roads, and Freedom Ridge in the Montreal area, and on Elliot Drive in the Macks Creek area.
