If you want to be more actively involved in helping your family or your community, you can learn more and take an active role beginning in September. The Camden County CERT team has announced a new round of training courses. CERT is designed for community volunteers who want to assist first responders in times of emergency, disaster, and other large-scale events. It’s also great training for people who just want to be prepared to keep their families safe. Volunteers undergo training for certification and can dedicate as much, or as little, time as they’d like depending on their schedules. You can learn more by attending an open house scheduled for September 9th at 5:30 p.m. or by calling the Camden County EMA office at 346-7108.
