A holiday surprise is on the way to full time employees in Camden County. The Camden County Commission voted on Wednesday to give the full time employees supplemental pay next week. County officials say this is the first time anything like this has been done for county employees. Camden County 2nd District Commissioner Cliff Luber says the money for this is coming from coming from a fee fund that is collected by Camden County Recorder of Deeds Donnie Snelling.
192 thousand 400 dollars will be transferred into the Camden County general revenue account from this fund and all 288 full time county employees will be receiving a supplemental disbursement in the amount of 500 dollars. The money will be added to their December 13th paycheck. Elected officials are not receiving the supplemental pay.
