Camdenton residents witnessed quite a bit of excitement Thursday afternoon. Around 3 o’clock, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office began searching for a suspect who supposedly assault a woman and then fled into the wood line near the intersection of Munro and Third Street. Less than two hours later, the sheriff’s office reported that the manhunt was canceled and the situation was “unsubstantiated.” The Camdenton Police Department reports that the woman admitted the injury may have occurred from having a seizure, causing her to fall.
