Lawmakers from across the state attended a training conference in Jefferson City this week. State Auditor Nicole Galloway hosted the second annual County Government Day on Wednesday. One of the primary topics of this year’s workshops included ways to identify fraud and how to work with law enforcement and the state auditor’s office in cases where fraud is suspected. Cyber security was another topic covered in the training sessions. Among those in attendance from the lake area were Camden County Auditor Jimmy Laughlin and County Commissioner Bev Thomas.
