The Camden County Road and Bridge Department received approval to shorten a curve on Point Happy Drive. Currently, vehicles almost have to come to a complete stop to make the sharp curve. Road and Bridge Administrator Lee Schuman says the land owner affected has offered to give up the right-of-way and donate fill material for the new road, leaving the county with less money put into the project.
The total cost to the county is estimated to be around $14,000.
