As the floodwater continues to drop, we’re getting a better look at how bad the damage is throughout the area. Camden County Road and Bridge Administrator Lee Schuman says there’s some damage, but it could’ve been a lot worse. He says the worst they’ve seen, so far, is a concrete slab on Scarue Lane, near Greenview. He says they’ll have to close about five feet of it, making it one lane.
Schuman says that, because of the high waters, they still haven’t been able to check around the Little Niangua. Seven homes in the area had to be evacuated. He estimates that the damage will be in excess of $60,000.
