Camden County may be taking some ideas from Boone County. James Rericha, a licensed Professional Engineer from Camden County, is suggesting they use ideas from Boone County’s Sewer District.
Rericha says that, in Boone County, a homeowner outside of a sewer district can still connect to the closed system instead of having to purchase a septic tank. The change could save a new homeowner $10,000 to $15,000. Rericha also stressed that connecting to that system should be completely voluntary. The Commission has decided to reach out to the Boone County Sewer District to get more suggestions.
