With the political season on the horizon the race for Camden County sheriff has begun to take shape. There is a twist to this story though and it could potentially stir the pot up for some controversial debate leading up to the general election. The Former Camden County Sheriff John Page has officially announced his intention to re-run for the seat he lost to incumbent Sheriff Dwight Franklin in 2008. Page filed as an Independent candidate yesterday and intends to fight for the seat he lost in 2008. Page was a Democrat before being beat out by Republican challenger Dwight Frankilin. In order to appear on the ballot, Page will be required to collect approximately 500 signatures from registered voters across the county area and all of them will be checked and verified. The number of signatures is based on a percentage of the sum of the total number of voters in the 2008 general election. The petition must be submitted by June 30
