Keeping not just children but also the community safe is behind some extra patrols planned for Halloween night by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office. Camden County Sheriff Dwight Franklin says they will have a noticeable presence.
Franklin says they have not had a problem with drunk drivers in the past on Halloween.
Franklin says some deputies will be making sure people are not drinking and driving. Others will be checking on registered sex offenders.
Franklin says the Reserve Division of the Uniform Patrol Bureau will also be out working with the Missouri Probation and Parole officers to check on registered sex offenders in Camden County. Deputies will go to the registered addresses to make certain the sex offender is in compliance with state statutes.
