The Camden County Sheriff’s office is reminding everyone to be safe this Halloween night as children will take to the streets to gather candy from friends and neighbors. The sheriff’s office reminds you to be cautious when driving and if you plan to have a good time, make sure you designate a driver. Sheriff Dwight Franklin says they will have a more noticeable presence on Halloween night with officers throughout the county patrolling roads thanks to a grant through the Missouri Highway Safety for DWI enforcement group. Franklin also says the Reserve Division of the Uniform Patrol Bureau will also be out checking on registered sex offenders in the county making sure they are in compliance with pertinent state statutes. Franklin reminds residents that if you see something out of the ordinary or want to report anything suspicious during the holiday to call 911 or your nearest law enforcement agency.
