The Camden County Sheriff’s Office is putting out a warning to residents to watch for scams. They say there are known asphalt and pest control schemes that occur during this time of year where a company will go door-to-door stating they have extra product from a previous order. The company representative says they can give you a deal to spray your home or fix your driveway. This warning comes after the Miller County Sheriff’s Office received reports of an asphalt company pulling this same scam. Lieutenant Arlyne Page warns that fixing damage done by a scam company could be quite expensive, so citizens should always use a reputable company.
