One suspect is in custody after leading Camden County deputies on a chase through several parking lots in west Camdenton. The Sheriff’s Department says it started on Wednesday when a deputy tried to stop the unidentified suspect for an expired license plate. As the suspect pulled into a restaurant lot, a deputy tried to contact the driver, but was dragged through the parking lot as the suspect sped away. The deputy received minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The suspect then fled east on Highway 54 and turned south on State Route V. The suspect was eventually arrested at a home on State Route B-B. The suspect is being held in the Camden County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
