Camden Sheriff Finds Numerous Animals In Poor Health, Charges Pending

The owners of numerous animals found on a property near Climax Springs, are now facing charges.

According to the Camden County Sheriff’s office, they responded to a call for animal control and found the animals living without food or water.

Officials say some of them were in poor health and others had died because of their living conditions.

Most of the Animals that survived were given to the Humane Society.

Authorities say they contacted a woman who owned the property, who indicated she did not live there full time.




On 09/23/2020 deputies responded to the area of Climax Springs reference an animal control call. Upon arrival, deputies located multiple animals without food or water and in poor medical condition. Further investigation led deputies to the discovery of multiple deceased animals. Deputies were able to locate the owner from out of the area and the remaining animals were relinquished to the Humane Society. Charges are pending on the owners of the animals at this time.


*The Camden County Sheriff’s Office reminds everyone that these charges are merely an accusation and these individuals remain innocent until proven guilty.
