Camden Sheriff’s Deputy Helped To Deliver Baby On Highway 5

A Camden County Sheriff’s deputy is the hero of one mother, after helping her give birth on Highway 5 this week.

The Sheriff’s office says Deputy Bailey Denny was attempting to pull over a car that had been traveling more than 90 miles an hour near the Decaturville area.

The driver stopped short of the Business 5 exit and that’s when Deputy Denny discovered the woman in the passenger seat was giving birth

Denny and another Deputy assisted the woman until an ambulance arrived.

The baby was born healthy and the family was taken to Lake Regional for care.
