The Camdenton Airport has a new name, but it will take some time for it to be officially recognized. At last night’s (Tuesday) Camdenton board of aldermen meeting, the board voted in the ordinance that officially makes the new name of the airport the Camdenton Memorial Lake Regional Airport. Now the next step is to submit that to the FAA, says airport manager Corey Leuwerke
Leuwerke says he’s ready to get going on putting together the project of building an actual memorial on the site and he’s planning to work with the local veterans to get that done
Leuwerke says they will now submit the name change to the FAA since the ordinance passed and it could take until May for it to show up on their publications.
