The opioid drug crisis takes center stage at Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting in Camdenton. The board will hear a presentation from the Camden County Health Department a prescription drug monitoring program administered in St. Louis County. The program details usage and prescription rates across several categories, including age, gender, and location. The presentation is expected to include information on how the report can help improve patient care and reduce abuse. There were 908 deaths in Missouri in 2016 related to heroin and opioid use….one out of every 66 deaths in the state. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6pm.
