A proposed community center for Camdenton could start to take shape soon. At Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting, city officials are expected to approve a contract for conceptual design work on the project. The board will also vote on applying for a grant to help with a growing problem within the district – homeless students. There are over 440 students in the Camdenton R-III district classified as “homeless.” The city hopes to apply for grants from the Department of Public Safety that provide funds to help prevent delinquency, keep kids out of the juvenile justice system, and preserve families. Tuesday’s board meeting begins at 6pm in Camdenton City Hall.
