The Camdenton County School District tested 280 students for drugs in the last school year. There was 100 percent participation from students. Superintendent Tim Hadfield declined to reveal how many students passed the test for 12 different narcotics, at the last Board of Education meeting. The District is going to change the student drug testing policy, slightly, to reduce paperwork. Instead of filling out a form each time they’re tested, a student just has to do it once for their entire high school career. Any student involved with any extracurricular activity or wanting an on campus parking permit is subject to random drug testing.
