A Camdenton man’s facing charges after he tried to run away from Sheriff’s Deputies
On Monday Sheriff’s Deputies went to a house on Dry Hollow Road to serve a search warrant, and when they got there they say 42-year-old Michael Polgar tried to run away.
Investigators say deputies caught Polgar after a short chase and arrested him for a parole violation stemming from a previous charge of drug possession.
Polgar was taken to the Camden County Jail and given a surety bond of $50-thousand dollars.

On 08/17/20, deputies responded to a residence on Dry Hollow Road to serve an arrest warrant. The male had outstanding warrants for probation violation on the original offense of Possession of a Control Substance. When deputies attempted to arrest the male, he fled on foot. Deputies were able to place the subject in custody after a brief foot pursuit, without further incident.
Michael Polgar, age 42 of Camdenton, Mo was charged with Resisting Arrest By fleeing and given a surety bond of $50,000.00. He also remains at the Camden County Correctional Facility on the parole warrant.

On 08/17/20, deputies were on North State Highway 5 when they stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop, deputies conducted a search of a person and located a quantity of suspected Methamphetamine and Heroin. As a result, one person was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold.
Chad A Thomas, age 35 of Camdenton, Mo was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and a traffic violation. Thomas was denied bond and remains at the Camden County Correctional Facility pending court.
