A Camdenton man is dead after a two-vehicle accident on Highway-54, west of Sunny Slope Road, in Camden County. The highway patrol report indicates that it happened shortly before 11:45 Tuesday morning. A GMC Sierra driven westbound by 74-year-old William Kaifer rear-ended a freightliner which had been stopped in a construction zone. Kaifer was not wearing a seat belt at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the freightliner, 58-year-old Anthony Seymore of Eldon, was treated at Lake Regional for minor injuries.
