The Camdenton school board will meet in special session tonight at 4:30 to talk about the internet and the American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU says the school’s internet filter blocks websites that support gay and lesbian rights and allows websites that condemn homosexuality. The organization has filed suit in federal court and is asking for a preliminary injunction in an attempt to force the school to turn off the internet filtering software. Superintendent Tim Hadfield says the school is following the law.
The meeting tonight takes place at the administration building and is open to the public.
