For the second time in a month, Camdenton police are called to a local grocery store after a reported theft of liquor. Chief Laura Wright says the most recent incident happened during the evening hours on Friday of last week when four subjects were able to get out of the store with more than $900 worth of alcohol. Video surveillance showed the suspects leaving the parking lot in a dark-colored four-door sedan. That investigation continues while a similar incident was also reported on March 10th. In it, four subjects from East St. Louis, Belleville Illinois and Baltimore Maryland got away with almost $1500 in liquor before being stopped and taken into custody by police in Osage Beach. They have been charged with felony stealing. Anyone with information on the most recent liquor theft from Gerbes should contact Camdenton police or local law enforcement.
