Camdenton is moving forward with plans for a new community center. The board of aldermen this week reviewed the consultants’ report on what the center needs to be successful. The draft calls for a gym, walking track, auxiliary rooms for meetings or cultural programming, and more. The total estimated cost ranges from $9-11 million. City Administrator Jeff Hancock says now they’ll move on to the next phase.
Hancock adds that the project may have to be completed in phases. That’s one of the options they’ll be discussing going forward.
