Voters in the Camdenton R-III school district will decide in April if they want to pay more taxes in exchange in for a new college campus. The Board of Education has approved a ballot issue calling for a 20-cent property tax to join the Ozarks Technical Community College service area.
If approved, OTC will build a $15-$20 million campus within the district. Superintendent Dr. Tim Hadfield says students living in the district would receive discounted tuition.
The issue goes to the ballot April 7th in Camden, Morgan, and Laclede counties.
