Camdenton is looking to make some changes in a city ordinance that restricts ownership of specific breeds of dogs within city limits. Under the proposed changes, owners of pit-bulls will have 60 days from the time they obtain their license to get the animals spayed or neutered. The changes also remove several of the restrictions currently in place, including a micro-chip requirement, minimum insurance requirements, and signs or stickers indicating that a potentially dangerous dog resides on your property. The proposed changes will be discussed in detail and voted on when the Board of Aldermen meets Tuesday night at 6pm.
