Camdenton has just approved a single stream recycling pilot program for the city. This program will consist of three phases and will be done over a 3 month time span. Representatives from Allied Waste presented at the last BOA meeting in Camdenton the 90-day test program. This program will pick up recyclable materials every week for free from an agreed upon area in the City. This area was chosen based upon the willing volunteers. The program will be done in three phases. Phase one will begin with a feasibility study. A letter will be sent to residents explaining the study along with educational material to participating residents. Phase Two will be Allied monitoring participation and volume of recycling and lastly would be a survey. This would gage the willingness to continue.
