Classified staff in the Camdenton School District will get an average increase in salary of one point four percent, for the next school year. The Camdenton Board of Education approved a salary and benefit package for the support employees, like food service workers, bus drivers and custodians, on Tuesday morning. Certified staff received a similar bump in March.
The Board of Education also made some changes to the district’s self funded insurance plan, raising the insurance coverage costs, but lowering co-pays. Superintendent Tim Hadfield says with minimal raises available for district employees, the board wanted to find a way to alleviate some of the pain in the pocketbook. The Board is also going to discuss implementing a wellness program for all employees for later this year. In other action, Board members approved the District’s Summer School Program. Director Larry Lewis says it’s similar to what was in place last year.
