The City of Camdenton takes another step toward adopting a voluntary demolition program. The program, according to administrator Jeff Hancock, has been in the works now for about a year and could potentially save homeowners a lot of headaches and money in the process of cleaning up dilapidated properties.
The program is administered through the state community development block grant program. A public hearing is the next step in the process, and is scheduled during the planning and zoning commission’s meeting. So far, 16 have signed up wanting to be a part of the voluntary demolition program.
