The Camdenton School District is wasting no time in making up two days cancelled last week because of the weather. Students will now be in class next Monday, Martin Luther King’s birthday, and on the 20th of next month, President’s Day. Superintendent Doctor Tim Hadfield says now all eyes are focused on later this week and a conference call already set up for early Friday morning between the weather service and superintendents around southwest Missouri.
Doctor Hadfield goes on to say, although not popular, it seems to be preferred by students and teachers that snow days are made up sooner rather than adding them on at the end of the year. School districts, in Missouri, are required to be in class 174 days per year.
