Camdenton trying to Re-Fi Bonds

Camdenton City Administrator Brenda Colter reported a bonding specialist will attend the next board of aldermen meeting in order to evaluate the possibility of lowering interest rates on a bond. The Specialist will address the board concerning the refinancing of a bond, the in and outs of the process and what their options are in order to take advantage of current low interest rates. According to Colter, the city has the potential for a substantial savings on the current principal balance of $1,675,000. The original issue was $2,270,000. This next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at city hall.
