A Camdenton woman is facing charges after school officials expressed concerns over the condition of her two children. After questioning by officials at Kids’ Harbor it was discovered that one of the children had a severe ear infection that had gone untreated. The other child, on whom officials had noticed what appeared to be a burn mark, told officials that the mother had burnt him with a candle. Hair follicle tests on one of the children also tested positive for methamphetamine. Aimee Elizabeth Herrera has been charged with one count of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk and a count of endangering the welfare of a child in the second-degree.
