Depending on where you go and what you need, a camping trip in one of Missouri’s state parks may cost you a little bit more next near. They’ve announced a $2 per night fee increase for campsites with electricity. The department says the increase will allow them to make improvements and respond to campers’ demands for more sites that come equipped with power. The money will be used to upgrade existing electrical service to 50 amps and to install new service where it currently doesn’t exist. Some systems will also be repaired or replaced. It’s the first rate increase since 2013 and will apply to on-season dates from April through October.
