A five year city resident and twenty nine year veteran of the U.S. Navy is now a ward three alderman in the city of Osage Beach. Fred Catcott was nominated to the post last night, filling the spot left by the late David Gasper. Catcott said he looked forward to working with the mayor to keep making progress in Osage Beach. He was asked about a recent issue for the board, a proposed smoking ban in bars and restaurants in the city.
Outside of his service in the U.S. Navy and some work on the Osage Beach Planning and Zoning Commission, this is the first public office for Catcott. He will finish out Gasper’s term which ends in April next year.
