The event season is slowing down, but that doesn’t mean area chambers of commerce are taking a break. They’ll be taking a look at how lawmakers in Jefferson City could impact the businesses the chamber represents. K.C. Cloke is the Executive Director of the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. She says lobbying isn’t a huge part of what they do, but they will keep an eye on the legislature.
Cloke says that while the chamber does have a lobbying role, they mostly act as intermediaries for their businesses and respond to their needs and interests.
