Charges Filed After Alleged DWI Accident in Camdenton (pic courtesy of Mid-County Fire District)

A lake area man faces charges of DWI and felony leaving the scene of an accident after an incident over the weekend in Camdenton.

Police Chief Laura Webster says officers responded to Palm Gardens early Sunday morning after a report of an SUV smashing into a home.

When officers arrived, they were told by the resident that the driver got out of the vehicle and left, on foot, through the front door. A witness followed the suspect and was able to provide officers with his location.

34-year-old Daryl Moore was checked out for injuries and then taken to the Camden County Jail. Bond was set at $75-thousand.
