Law enforcement agencies will be placing a special emphasis on child passengers next week. September 23rd through 29th is designated as Child Passenger Safety Week. Officers will crack down on people not following the law when it comes to proper restraints. In Missouri, all children under eight years old are required to be in a child seat or booster seat unless they are 4’9 or 80lbs. For more information visit www.saveMOlives.com. If you need help finding a proper child seat or booster, contact your local police. Some fire departments may also be able to help.
