As the April elections draw closer, city, school, and fire department officials are making their final push to get information out to voters. Superintendent Dr. Brent Depee and assistant Dr. Brad Yoder were guests on “The Ozarks Today” Friday to discuss their $23 million improvement plan. The bond issue has projects for every facility, including construction of a new early childhood learning center. Depee says it’s long been a need, and growing numbers make it a priority.
The plan also includes safety upgrades at the upper elementary school and several other projects. The 15-cent increase amounts to $28.50 a year for $100,000 of assessed valuation. All details on the plan, including renderings of the projects, are available online at www.osageschools.org.
