A call to 9-1-1 by a child is getting some credit for stopping a domestic assault in Camden County.

It started when the child called police when he saw his mother with a cut on her nose and bruises around her eyes after she got home from a bar.

Deputies arrived at the home on Kays Point Road in the Village of Four Seasons and found 35-year-old John Stoecklein there with a woman who had a cut on her nose and bruised eyes.

Deputies also say when they listened to a recording of that 9-1-1 call Stoeckline was heard in the background telling the child to hang up the phone because his mother might get in trouble.

Twitchel says Stoecklein was arrested at the home and he’s facing charges including domestic assault, tapering with a witness and resisting arrest.
