The Miller County woman charged with burning her baby to death will spend 25 years in prison. 29-year-old Christina White of Iberia received a 25 year sentence for second-degree murder, 25 years for first-degree arson and seven years for first-degree child endangerment. LeClede County Judge Michael Cordonnier told White the sentences will be allowed to run concurrently. White entered an “Alford Plea,” acknowledging prosecutors have enough evidence to obtain a conviction. She was accused of setting fire to the blanket her then- 7-month-old son was wrapped in. The baby suffered burns over 60 percent of his body and spent several weeks in the hospital until he died July 31st, 2007.
