Another case of Chronic wasting disease has been found in Missouri and this time it’s hitting close to home. According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, one of 11 new cases of the disease has been found just south of the Missouri River. Agent Aaron Pondrom spoke to the media yesterday (Wednesday) about the issue
The original cases have all been north of the Lake area for the past year but this one is the closest we’ve had it yet. Chronic wasting disease infects deer only and causes degeneration of the brain. Currently there is no cure.
