With the first weekend of firearms season for deer in the books, the Missouri Department of Conservation wants to remind hunters of a new requirement for this year. Hunters in Miller and Morgan Counties are required to take their deer to a sampling location to be tested for Chronic Wasting Disease. 29 total counties in the state have this mandate. Also, as a way to prevent the spreading of CWD, those counties have removed the antler-point restrictions and hunters are able to purchase two anterless permits this year. Camden County is not affected.
