Calling it a matter of continued progress and future safety for students, officials from the Climax Springs School District are hoping that a bond issue appearing on the November ballot will be passed. Superintendent Nathan Barb says, for years, there has been a general mistrust of the district when it comes to finances.
If approved, among other improvements, the two-and-a-half million-dollar bond issue would be used to build a corridor connecting the high school with the elementary, two half classrooms and a safe room in the case of a really severe weather event. District patrons will decide the ballot issue on November 8th.
