Construction will begin this week on Phase One of Co-Mo Electric Cooperative’s new Co-Mo Connect network, bringing fiber-to-the-home high-speed Internet, television and telephone to its members.
Co-Mo spokesman John Agliata says Phase One of the Co-Mo Connect network covers much of the cooperative’s Lake District, as well as its service territory from Tipton to just west of Jefferson City. Members in the areas that had the highest percentage of signups during a pre-sales period that ended last month will be the first to get the service, and should be online by the end of the summer.
Co-Mo Connect will eventually be available to Co-Mo’s entire service area:
Agliata says Phase One construction is expected to take about a year. The entire network is expected to be completed at the end of four years.
