Co-Mo Electric will be returning more than $2 million to its members, in the form of credits on their electric bills between now and the end of the year. Spokesman John Agliata explains this is what Co-Mo as a cooperative from other forms of businesses:
This is the eighth straight year that Co-Mo is returning money to its members by crediting their electric bills. By not mailing checks to active members, he says, the cooperative has saved more than $100,000:
Some Co-Mo members will actually owe no money because the credits cover their entire bill. Since the cooperative was formed in 1939, more than $40 million has been returned to members.
