For the second time this month, the United States Coast Guard has shut down illegal charter operations on the Lake of the Ozarks. Information released from the Coast Guard on Tuesday indicates charter operations were terminated last Friday and Saturday. The Coast Guard says the two boats were carrying more than the legal limit of 12 passengers. Similar operations were shut down August 1st. The Coast Guard has not released the names of any of the boats involved or the people responsible for operating the illegal charters. Calls from KRMS News seeking more information have not been returned.
